The multimeter: measure voltage, current and resistance in your simulated circuits. Each entry explains what the part does, what it looks like in CircuitBench, how to wire it and, where relevant, an Arduino code example you can paste into the code panel. New to electronics? Start with the electronics basics and the Arduino tutorial.

Multimeter

Instrument

What it does. Measures DC voltage, DC current or resistance, just like a real meter.

What it looks like. A handheld meter with a display and two probes.

How to use it. Volts: connect in parallel across a component. Amps: connect in series so current flows through it. Ohms: measure with the circuit unpowered.

Measure the voltage across the resistor in the “Ohm’s law divider” example.
